Ghislaine Pilon, Co-chair

Inspired by her son Matthew’s journey as a two-time liver transplant recipient living with chronic liver disease (PSC), Ghislaine has been deeply committed to supporting the medical community in advancing treatments and cures.

Originally from Montreal, Ghislaine brings a unique bilingual perspective, having learned English as an adult and raising her two sons to be fluently bilingual. Her leadership in education spans over two decades, from serving on local school councils in British Columbia and Alberta to taking on provincial and national roles, including a decade as Chair of the Commission nationale des parents francophones and later as Executive Director.

Her personal experiences, combined with years of advocacy work, continue to fuel her commitment to building stronger, healthier communities and improve the quality of life and outcome for transplant recipients.
